The release of the single "Feedback" has generated excitement about Janet Jackson's music that has not been seen in years. Here's hoping the release of the video to accompany the song last night on BET doesn't kill the buzz. I must say I was left seriously confused. The primary question is who thought this video was a stellar accompaniment to the song? And what exactly did Janet think herself? It would seem that concocting a video to please fans and supporters would have been simple. Why not just a set piece of Janet and her troupe of dancers? That's been the most appealing image of Janet Jackson since she blasted into superstardom with the Control album. I had hopes early on in my first viewing of the video. But...throughout the second half of the video it's hard to think of anything but breakfast cereal particularly when what looks like a giant Kix drops in behind Janet. You'll understand once you watch the video. Is there something I'm missing? I'm still eager for the album Discipline out February 26, 2008. top40.about.com/b/2008/01/09/janet-jacksons-feedback-video-got-milk.htm
